"Mysterious Maidams: Unraveling the Legacy of Chukhampha, the Sixteenth Ahom King"

It is known that Swargadeo Chukhampha died naturally. He came to Garhwal from Shalguri and fell seriously ill and finally died in 1603 AD. He is survived by three sons. Swargadeo Chukhampha was the longest ruling king of the Ahom Empire. He ruled the Ahom kingdom for about 51 years from 1552 to 1603 AD. There were many important events in the Ahom kingdom during the reign of Swargadeo Chukhampha. In 1596, an earthquake struck the Ahom kingdom during his reign. In 1569, locusts attacked the fields and in 1570, floods in the Ahom kingdom drowned the fields and caused famine in the kingdom. The Ahom kingdom was ruled by Swargadeo Chukhamphai after dealing with all these disasters. He had large forts built in mud and shala to prevent any enemy from invading the Ahom kingdom from the west. His Majesty Chukhampha alias Khora was one of the most important kings of the Ahom Empire. 1611 century, this madam made, and after digging, many goals and silver were found.
